The Joy of Having a Well-Trained Dog
Well trained and well taught dogs are definitely fun and enjoyable to keep as pets, thus they bring joy to the family that they live with. They are happier dogs that avoid getting into quarrels and scraps with other dogs. They become more sociable and get used to being in public so they have kind and friendly attitudes.
Dogs such as the small dog breeds can be trained easily through in home dog training programmes and you the owner can do this with the use of special tools and dog training equipment. Even puppies and rare dog breeds can easily master a few basic commands, skills and tricks.
Once you begin in-house dog training, you may want to concentrate on the basics like the sit, down and stay commands first. Here are some tips for you to effectively do this and mould your pet into a well trained and obedient dog.
Instruct your dog to “Sit” - This command can be easily taught by tapping the back of your dog. By doing this, he feels that he has to relax and control his behaviour.
Telling your pet to “Lay Down” - This command has always been a vital aspect in every dog training course. You can do this by caressing your dog gently like a small baby. Through that, he will feel secure and protected while laying down.
Say “Stay” - Another basic dog command is “Stay”. This is really important to be learned by your dog so that you can stay out from trouble even when you are in public. You can let your dog learn this command by tapping his head. Your action will mean that he has to behave well.
Now that you know these basics, You yourself can greatly improve your dog’s attitude and behaviour in public by conducting in home dog training. Aside from puppies, small dog breeds and rare dog breeds you can use these tips on any type of dog.
